Kristine Carlson, wife of international phenomenon Dr. Richard Carlson (author of the “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff…and it’s all Small Stuff” series), and author of National Bestsellers, “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff in Love” and “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff for Women,” has had much success professionally over the course of her life. Kris’ passion and talent for words have landed her many public speaking opportunities, inspiring listeners to live their lives as fully and happily as possible. As an unyielding believer of living in the moment, Kris has appeared on national radio and television broadcasts, including: The Today Show, The View, and The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Kris Carlson has served on the Board of Directors and the Global Leadership Council for Challenge Day. She helped to raise more than $600,000 for the non-profit organization that inspires children and adults to “be the change they wish to see in the world.” Kris serves as a role model and public icon for love and for building healthy, life-long relationships.

Her exceptional ability to express gratitude for life is shown through her newest book, “An Hour to Live, An Hour to Love: The True Story of the Best Gift Ever Given.” As a Tribute to Richard's authenticity and legacy, Kris shares with readers an amazing glimpse into what love really is. Received as a gift from him, three years prior to his death, for their 18th wedding anniversary, “An Hour to Live, An Hour to Love” shares Richard’s reflections on his last hour of life. It is a poignant, powerful, and personal message as he answers the questions: "If you had an hour to live, who would you call and why are you waiting?" Kris’ heartrending response places this book in a genre of its own. This small book will forever change the way you think about “life,” love and everyone you treasure.

Kris has spent most of her adult life supporting and honoring her role as wife and mother. Kris and Richard first met at Pepperdine University as undergraduates. She prides herself on creating life-long relationships, her dedication to her two daughters, friendships, and personal growth. She also loves riding horses, running, and solitude.
